This week is an opportunity to get back on track after coming off a week with a minor injury and low mileage. I think it’s good to take a moment and acknowledge mistakes that caused my week to go that way though.
The most glaring is that I am traveling all month. I took every excuse to do anything that I could come up with – putting running second. After that is pushing all my workouts to the end of the week and paying the price with an injury.
On a more positive note, I did do a good job stretching and walking enough to get in my step count on non-running days.
I still don’t feel that my body is ready for multiple consecutive running days, so I need to break up my workouts better. I am going to aim for three 5-mile runs and a long run of 9 miles totaling 24 miles. Only two of those will be back to back, and one 5-mile run will be hill repeats.
